Biography

Alana Martin is an Instructor of Dance and holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance from Oklahoma City University. She is a style coordinator for Theater Dance and Rhythm Tap, as well as an instructor of Jazz, Tap and Theater Dance. She serves as the director of the OCU Peppers (“Pep Dancers”), and has been an assistant director, choreographer and master teacher for the American Spirit Dance Company international and domestic tours, as well as a choreographer for all regional and national performances.

Her choreography can be seen in OETA's weekly program Gallery, the Awards for Excellence Ball and the Tournament of Roses Parade's VIP Banquet at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Pasadena, Calif. Martin’s musical theater choreography credits include West Side Story, Kiss Me Kate, Secret Garden, The Music Man, Cinderella, Legally Blonde, Rent, In the Heights and Seussical Jr. She has taught master teacher workshops in numerous states and has also been a guest judge and teacher for Dance Masters of America.
