Biography

Brianne Kollmorgen, soprano, is a native of Oklahoma. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Oklahoma State University. She has been featured in a multitude of roles, which include, but are not limited to: Countess Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), The Mother (Amahl and the Night Visitors), Mimi (La bohème), Ann Putnam (The Crucible), Elisetta (Il matrimonio segreto). Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica), and Tosca (Tosca).

Brianne has been awarded the Houston District Encouragement Award (Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions), First Place (Moores School of Music Concerto Competition), Finalist (Kristen Lewis Foundation Competition), and Finalist (Carolyn Bailey and Dominick Argento Vocal Competition).

Brianne has attended Opera Susquehanna as an Emerging Artist and the Greek Opera Studio as an Apprentice Artist. She was a chorister with Houston Grand Opera from 2018-2021 and performed in operas such as: Elektra, La bohème, Aida, and Carmen and performed with Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma in their production of The Sound of Music. Her students have claimed success and have been admitted into programs such as: Broadway Artist Alliance, Theatre Under the Stars, and Humphrey's School of Performing Arts.
