Biography

Davy Green is currently attending the University of Oklahoma, pursuing a D.M.A. in vocal performance. Green received her B.M. in vocal performance from Oklahoma City University's Wanda L. Bass School of Music, while studying voice under Dr. William Christensen. She attended the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, and the Land of Enchantment Opera Young Artist Programs during her undergraduate years. Davy is a Magna Cum Laude graduate at Texas State University where she earned her M.M. under Professor Julie Wood. While at Texas State, Davy was awarded the Most Outstanding Graduate award for the entire college of Fine Arts. She also placed 4th in the graduate women division of Texoma NATS in 2011, 3rd in the Texoma NATS competition in 2012, and was the Texas Regional NATS champion in the spring of 2013.
 

Green currently studies voice under Professor Kim Josephson, and some of her favorite credits include: Isabella in Cimarron Opera's production of The Face on the Barroom Floor, Don Elvira in Texas State Opera's production of Don Giovanni, Laetitia in Texas State Opera's The Old Maid and Thief, Rose in Texas State Opera's production of Street Scene, Lucy in San Antonio Opera’s The Telephone, the Announcer in San Antonio Opera’s Gallantry, a chorus member in San Antonio Opera's HMS Pinafore and Le Nozze di Figaro, Mrs. Anderseen in Light Opera Oklahoma's A Little Night Music, Ivette in Oklahoma City University's La Rondine, and Clarissa in OCU's Little Women.

Davy Green is also known for her work with San Antonio Opera’s five soprano singing group, Stiletto, in which she made guest appearances in San Antonio Symphonies' Pops Concerts. Her latest performance project was with the traveling opera troupe, One Ounce Opera of Austin, TX, and Texas Hill Country Opera of Fredericksburg, TX.

In August 2014, Green began her newest venture as an adjunct professor at Oklahoma City University. She also teaches privately out of her home studio, and at the OCU Summer Music Camp. Green began teaching private voice and vocal master classes at Texas State University, and is blessed to continue her teaching journey with the talented artists at OCU.

Davy performs regularly in concerts, recitals, local events, fundraisers, and weddings in the area. When Green isn't performing or teaching, she enjoys her hobby as a local model, and a television and film actress for independent, local films, and commercials.
