Biography
Jennifer Dunning graduated summa cum laude with her Master of Health Sciences in the Physician Associate Program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2017. She was presented with the William D. Stanhope Scholarship, awarded to PA students with the highest GPA in the didactic term. Upon graduation, she was awarded the OU Health Science Center Joseph J. Ferretti Outstanding Senior Leadership Award for her community leadership and volunteer services. Her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry was completed at Northwestern Oklahoma State University of Alva in 2006.
Jennifer has been a practicing physician assistant since 2017 in reproductive psychiatry and obtained her certificate of additional qualifications in psychiatry through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in 2021. Her primary focus is on women’s mental health and providing interventional services for treatment resistant depression. She is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She has been a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and maintains professional membership in the Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants. She has been a guest lecture at the University of Oklahoma PA program and is excited to join the academic community as an adjunct professor to help educate students at Oklahoma City University.
Jennifer lives in Edmond with her husband and children: a son, daughter and two adopted terriers. She enjoys traveling with her family, cycling, hiking and gardening. She is an avid reader and a lifetime learner.
