Biography

Joshua Gaub is a trombonist in the Oklahoma City area and serves as adjunct instructor of trombone at Oklahoma City University. In addition to his work at OCU, Mr. Gaub also serves as visiting instructor of trombone at the University of Oklahoma, an adjunct instructor of music at Langston University and has run his own private studio since 2019.

Originally from Washington state, Joshua moved to Oklahoma City in 2011 and earned his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Oklahoma Christian University and his Master's in Trombone Performance from Oklahoma City University.

Mr. Gaub has enjoyed many performance opportunities, often performing with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. He has also performed with Chamber Music Amarillo, the Bozeman Symphony, the Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra and as Bass Trombone for the Oklahoma Composer's Orchestra. Mr. Gaub is an active freelance trombonist, and has played in many different chamber events in the OKC area as well as large concerts at the Paycom Center.
