Biography

Dean Salmeron began her Kramer journey in 2005 as an assistant dean, having retired in 2001 from OSU-OKC nursing program after 31 years. The Dean was one of three faculty who began the OSU-OKC program in 1969. Her clinical passion is maternal-child, particularly labor and delivery. She initiated the first expectant parent classes in Oklahoma City in 1965. Dr. Salmeron has taught across all levels of nursing education: ADN, BSN, MSN and PhD. She has served on many nursing committees: local, state, regional and national as a charter member of NAACOG (now AWHONN). She has served on many community organizations that enhance the quality of life for the community. In early years, her scholarship was focused on knowledge needs for new mothers and fathers. Her current scholarship activities relate to retention of aging nursing faculty.
