Biography

Miriam joined Career Services in 2020 after spending three years in the non-profit sector as the Marketing Manager and Events Coordinator of OKC’s multicultural District, Calle Dos Cinco in Historic Capitol Hill. As the Assistant Director for Career Services, she works closely with employers seeking to recruit and employ OCU students and alumni and advises students on their professional development documents and post-graduation goals.

Miriam earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the OCU Meinders School of Business. She is a Certified Professional Resume Writer by the Professional Association of Resume Writers. She serves on the Executive Board for the Oklahoma City Latino Young Professionals, OKC ZOOTroop Council, Stephenson Cancer Center Latino Community Advisory Board and numerous community and cultural programming committees across the OKC metro. She has received numerous awards for her commitment to her community, including the Dove Schools Distinguished Alumni Award. Recently, she graduated from the Linking Oklahoma's Young Adult Leaders Program, L.O.Y.A.L. Class XVII.

Miriam is on a quest to visit all 50 U.S. States! In her spare time, you can find her supporting the arts, hiking, or cheering on the evolution of women in professional wrestling entertainment!
