In an effort to increase the COVID-19 vaccination rate to a goal of 85% for individuals in the OCU campus community, the university is implementing an incentive program – Drive for 85! – for students, faculty and staff.
The vaccination rate will be tracked separately for students and employees.
Students and employees who are fully vaccinated and voluntarily submit (or have previously submitted) their COVID-19 vaccine record to the university are eligible to win a variety of prizes if the target rate for the respective group is met by the stated target date.

OCU has set the following vaccination rate targets for the fall semester for our students, faculty and staff:
- August 31: 65%
- September 30: 75%
- October 31: 80%
- November 30: 85%
If the vaccination rate is met by the respective group (students and employees) by the last day of each designated month, those individuals who have submitted their COVID-19 records will be eligible to win a variety of prizes.
The sooner individuals submit their record, the more their chances increase to win a prize. Eligible students, faculty and staff will get their name added one additional time for each additional target date they are in the pool and do not win a prize. For example, if your vaccine record was submitted in August, your name will be added twice in September, three times in October, and four times in November. If your record is submitted in September, your name will be added twice in October and three times in November, and so on.
Individuals who win a prize will be removed from future drawings.
