OCU School of Law to Host Innocence Project Event

The Oklahoma Innocence Project (OKIP) at the Oklahoma City University School of Law is hosting an event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 15 with recent exonorees Malcolm Scott and De’Marchoe Carpenter.

A conversation will be followed by a meet and greet with the exonorees. Registration is free and can be done by visiting http://www.eventbrite.com/e/oklahoma-innocence-project-meet-greet-tickets-26352403749.

On May 9, Scott and Carpenter, with the help of the Oklahoma Innocence Project, were found innocent of a crime in which they were convicted nearly 22 years earlier.

During the event at the OCU School of Law, Scott and Carpenter will talk about their fight for justice. The conversation will be led by OKIP Executive Director Vicki Behenna.
