NPR's "Pipedreams" Broadcasts Olsen Organ Performance
Dr. Timothy Olsen, Wanda L. Bass Chair of Organ at Oklahoma City University, was featured on a broadcast of “Pipedreams,” the weekly National Public Radio program devoted to the organ.? The hour-long NPR show highlighted the four 21st century winners of the National Young Artists Competition, sponsored by the American Guild of Organists. Olsen won the competition in 2002. On April 13, “Pipedreams” featured Olsen performing sections of Ned Rorem’s “A Quaker Reader” and Cesar Franck’s “Choral No. 1 in E.” The AGO winners episode was broadcast locally on KCSC/KBCW.
