U.S. News & World Report again has ranked Oklahoma City University among the best in the west.
The next edition of the magazine, which will be available on newsstands Aug. 25, lists OCU in the top tier of masters-level universities in the western United States. OCU ranks 11th in Great Schools, Great Prices and 25th among Best Universities. OCU is the only Oklahoma school ranked in Great Schools, Great Prices in its division and finished ahead of all other Oklahoma Schools listed in Best Universities in its division. OCU was ranked against 126 schools in the masters-level western region division.
“The faculty and staff of Oklahoma City University are extremely dedicated to providing the very best educational experience possible for our students and being ranked 11th out of 126 colleges and universities in Great Schools, Great Prices clearly indicates that we are succeeding,” said Bernie Patterson, provost and vice president of academic affairs at Oklahoma City University.
The western region includes Oklahoma, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, New Mexico, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
Schools were ranked based on peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.
