"Exhumed!" Resurrects Halloween Organ Concert Tradition
Dr. Timothy Olsen, university organist, is resurrecting the Oklahoma City University tradition of a Halloween night organ concert in the Bishop W. Angie Smith Chapel. The 2008 version, “Exhumed!,” will kick off at 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. Admission is free and open to the public. Canned goods are being accepted for donation to the United Way. The program will feature Dr. Olsen and his students performing Bach’s “Toccata & Fugue in D Minor,” Bizet’s “Carmen,” and costumed visitors. Original choreography will be performed by graduate students of OCU’s Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Arts Management for “Five Dances for Organ” by American organist/composer Calvin Hampton.
