The Oklahoma City University Jazz Combo will kick off December’s performances with a Tuesday concert at 8 p.m. Dec. 1 in the Small Rehearsal Hall of the Bass Music Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
The OCU Jazz Combo features Joey Doubleday on vibes; Robert Redmond, trumpet; Dusty Higgins, guitar; Sam Hinson, bass; and Eddy Streck, drums. Dr. Cory Gavito, combo director, will perform on piano.
Tuesday’s program will include the music of Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter, Arsenio Rodriguez, A.O. “Tom” Jobim, Cedar Walton, J.J. Johnson, Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, and Bobby Timmons.
