High school-age students from around the country are invited to participate in a two-week residential course in digital filmmaking July 7 through 18 at Oklahoma City University.
In a highly collaborative environment, this university-caliber experience encourages broad exploration of the roles and procedures of film production, as well as artistic experimentation with visual storytelling. Participants work under the mentorship of experienced university faculty who introduce the concepts, techniques, and technology of filmmaking and coach participants to practice them in innovative ways.
No previous experience with film or video production necessary!
To maximize each student’s hands-on experience and one-on-one guidance from instructors,
capacity is limited — only 15 spots are available!
"Delve into the concepts, techniques and technology of innovative filmmaking."
Prepare for college applications
Learn to write and direct projects that highlight your own filmmaking vision. These films can be submitted as part of college applications that require a “reel” or sample of work.
Explore beyond the classroom
Outside of class time, take in all that the Oklahoma City metro area has to offer film lovers, with visits to production studios, post-production facilities and arthouse theaters.
Your Film on the Big Screen
Share your film at an end-of-program showcase in downtown OKC.
