The Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment is dedicated to preparing dancers to work as performers, teachers, choreographers and arts/entertainment managers.
- Audition required for admission.
- Students start as dance majors taking a foundation of dance technique, arts management and production, teaching dance, choreography, dance history, voice, and general education courses in the first two years.
- Students apply for their final degree program for junior and senior years based on students’ interests and faculty evaluation of their skills, knowledge, and accomplishments.
- Dance Performance stresses high levels of dance technique and performance quality.
The dance performance degree is focused on developing employable dancers for the entertainment industry. In addition to superior dance training, dance performance majors receive vocal and acting training to unleash their triple-threat performing capabilities.
