SPANISH

The purpose of Oklahoma City University’s modern language program is to introduce you to international cultures and to provide the linguistic and cultural competencies to enrich your education and expand career options in a multicultural world. Fluency in a second language and culture enhances any career—medical, public service, diplomatic/mission, international aid work, teaching, communication, travel, entertainment, business, and the arts.

Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. A Spanish minor makes you more marketable and is a terrific complement to the academic major of your choosing.

Modern Language minors require 18 hours in the same language, including the elementary courses. We currently offer Beginning and Intermediate -level instruction available on campus in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Russian and Spanish. A Spanish minor can be earned entirely on OCU’s campus.
