Gordon Tasker Schaul English Scholarship

To be considered for the Gordon Tasker Schaul English Scholarship:

  1. Study English.
  2. 3.5 high school GPA and maintain 3.5 GPA each college semester for renewal.
  3. Be a U.S. citizen.
  4. Preference given to students graduating from Oklahoma City Metro area public or private high school school or junior college

Gordon Tasker Schaul (February 8, 1905-July 10, 1997) attended Oklahoma City University in 1925. He was captain of the tennis team and formed friendships that lasted his lifetime.

The Gordon Tasker Schaul English Scholarship is an endowed scholarship for students pursuing a B.A. in English. Students must have a 3.5 GPA and will be required to maintain a 3.5 GPA each year to renew the scholarship. The donor requires the student to be a U.S. Citizen, and preference will be given to students who graduated from an Oklahoma City Metro area public or private high school. The $1,000/ year scholarship is renewable for seven semesters, provided the student maintains eligibility.
