Student Conduct

The Office of the Dean of Students is committed to fair and consistent resolutions to matters of student conduct. Our aim in our conduct process is to encourage you to exercise good judgment and be accountable for your choices.

The Office of the Dean of Students is located in the Tom & Brenda McDaniel University Center, Room 257. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

By virtue of your enrollment at Oklahoma City University, the following policies apply to you.

Student Code of Conduct (link to webpage)

  • OCU's Code of Conduct guides students through the University's conduct process, how to submit complaints, what to expect during an investigation, and how to request appeals.

  • Compendium of general OCU's policies and procedures (Academic and co-curricular), important facts about the institution, helpful contacts, and emergency guidelines.

Alcohol and other Drugs Policy (link to webpage)

  • At OCU, the use, possession, or sale of alcoholic beverages (including under-age drinking), tobacco, illegal drugs, firearms, or other dangerous weapons on University-owned or controlled property is prohibited.

Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (link to webpage)

  • Legislation that requires OCU to implement and enforce drug prevention programs and policies as a condition of eligibility to receive federal financial assistance.

Medical Amnesty Policy (link to webpage)

  • Students needing and seeking medical assistance during an alcohol or other drug-related emergency will not face formal conduct action by the Dean of Students Office for the mere possession or use of alcohol or drugs.

You are responsible to the University to abide by the rules and regulations contained in these documents.

  • An anonymous reporting option available to report conduct issues, including issues covered by Title IX.
  • OCU will take every effort to fully investigate each report, but reporting anonymously may limit OCU’s ability to investigate.
