Candidates must perform a conducting audition. The conducting audition will take place on-campus with one of the University's major ensembles on a pre-assigned piece. Candidates will also be required to submit video recordings of conducting prior to being invited to campus.
Candidates will be interviewed by members of the conducting faculty, by appointment.

Instrumental conducting candidates must perform an instrumental audition. The instrumental audition will include two contrasting pieces, preferably one fast technical piece, and one slow lyrical piece. The audition will also include sight-reading.
