Software Downloads Overview
Here you will find downloads to popular software applications used on the Oklahoma City University campus. Many of these applications are used for classroom work and may be required by the instructors.
Microsoft Office
Oklahoma City University takes advantage of Microsoft's Office 365 services (learn more here). A great advantage of Office 365 is providing our faculty, staff and students access to the suite of Microsoft Office applications at no charge. Through Office 365, the latest version of Microsoft Office can be downloaded and installed on up to 5 devices.
To install Microsoft Office on your Microsoft Windows or Mac OS device:
- Sign in to Office 365, authenticating with your university email address and password.
- Click the Install Office button and follow the on-screen instructions.
To install Microsoft Office on mobile platforms such as iOS or Android, refer to the app store associated to your platform. When prompted for credentials to activate the Office products, provide your university email address and password.
Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching
Azure Dev Tools for Teaching is a Microsoft program that provides access to tools commonly used in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs. University students and faculty can access services and software through the website at no cost, including Visual Studio Professional, Windows server, and SQL servers, to name a few.
To take advantage of this service:
- Log in to the Azure Dev Tools for Teaching using your OCU email address and password.
- First-time users will be requested to accept the terms of this service and will be offered a tour of the interface.
- To view the list of available software titles, click Software.
- Click a software title, then click Download or Activate.
- Follow all prompts to complete the download.
- To log off, click your account profile in the upper right-hand corner and choose Sign out from the drop-down menu.
